Avalonian Spearmen

The true core of Avalon's armies are soldiers trained in the use of the longspear. Drawn almost completely from vassals and serfs, they cannot afford the heavy armor worn by the Templar Knights and Paladins of Avalon. Instead, Avalon spearmen wear lighter armor offering them mobility over defense. Under the command of a gifted tactician, spearmen are of extreme strategic importance, particularly when dealing with cavalry.
