Hoppers

Simple and beastlike, the hoppers are amongst the lowest echelon of the Hive. With only a dim intelligence, these creatures are not naturally aggressive, fulfilling the role of workers for the Hive. However, when motivated by the Myrm Drivers, these creatures make excellent shock troops. With small wings capable of only limited flight, they are nevertheless incredible leapers, and when armed with crude weapons such as clubs or axes, they can be devastating when a swarm of them springs into the midst of an enemy army.
